There are many factors that contribute to the success or failure
of a landscape design. Each element and fixture must work together. The Garden
Design Group designer has the practical and innovative knowledge and the artistic
ability to put colors and materials together that will compliment the home and
be true to the theme.

Tip: Always plant in groups. Grouping
plants, no matter what the theme of the landscape, is the easiest way
to give structure and a comfortable flow to your garden. |

The design process is a very exciting one. Our designer will
talk to you about needs, desires, materials, theme of the garden and budget
for the project. Then he'll assess the yard, paying close attention to such
details as how sunlight hits the yard, the proximity of the neighbors and other
vital information.
We are very sensitive to designing for your budget. Whether
it be $75,000 or $275,000, it is important that our designer knows what the
budget is, so he can design the best garden for the money. This is vital information.
If your budget is kept a secret, the design can be shortchanged or designed
"over the top" and it may not correspond to what you want to spend.
Your design can include all elements of the landscape, including;
BBQ's, waterfeatures, pools and spas, outdoor kitchens, plant material and patios.
We can even help you accessorize your yard, helping you choose patio furniture,
pottery, garden art and a sound system.
Finally, we can bring the showroom to you. Our designer can show you samples
of brick, tile, stone, stucco or concrete colors that he'd like to use.
He can even show you pictures of the plants.
We understand that this may be the first time you are undertaking
a project like this, so our job is to make you feel at ease.
We will explain the process every step of the way.

Design Idea: Always try to integrate
garden art into your yard. It can be as simple as a pot painted blue or
a glass jug filled with red-dyed water. These things will give you garden
character and intrigue. |
|

Designs start at $2,000.00 for a conceptual layout of landscape
features.
(We also offer consultation services which start at $250.00/hour)

Compare these fees to most landscape architects and you'll see
that we are very fairly priced.
Combine that with our knowledge & everything else we offer and it's an excellent
value!

FORM: FLOW
The flow of the garden is very important. Positioning of each element, such
as, a water fountain or patio must be precise in order to give harmony and create
a garden that "works". Psychology and Feng Shui play a big part in
this.
FUNCTION: EFFICIENCY
Each family's needs are different. We listen to those needs and desires and
integrate them into a structured layout that has a rhyme and reason.
AESTHETICS: MATERIALS
Choosing the right materials for a particular theme can make it very believable.
It is very important that the materials chosen blend well with the house and
compliment the theme of the project. For instance, when going for an English
garden look, it may be appropriate to use a distressed red brick. However, that
same brick would not work with a Mediterranean or Tuscan garden. For that look
we may use a travertine tile or marble.
